DARJEELING GOLDEN MUSCATEL – 75 Gms

This picks up right where the Moonshine Second Flush  stops…. And then keeps on giving like there is no tomorrow!!  We went 3 brews (western style) in and this baby was shooting flavors & notes like the (Judgement Day) Terminator from the Cyberdyne building.

We regard this tea as a staple of any Second Flush aficionado and highly reccomend it.

This here is an extremely well oxidised Second Flush 2023 Darjeeling Leaf with plenty of golden tips made from the AV2 cultivar.  Plucking is mostly of whole leaf and two leaves and a bud.

And, man do they have an assortment of Flavors!! Read on:

The First brew was full bodied with Muscatel – Ripe Fruits – Grapes – Some Citrus – Dried fruits – Honey – Hints of Dates and some Spice – with an elegant astringency.

Second brew brought out the dates very-very prominently (and this is where you start noticing!) – muscatel – fruity – with hints of cardamom/cinnamon notes to accomapny. With the astringency absolutely on point that continued in the third.

Please note that when we talk about multiple brewings we mean the western style.  3 – 3.5 Gms of tea yielded three solid brews of 200ml cups of tea!!!!
